About

I’m really passionate about food. I love to make it, read about it, feed it to the people I love, and of course, indulge myself with it.

Food brings us together – for me it’s a social lubricant. Making the right choices with food can hugely improve our health, our mood, and our energy levels. Learning to cook and taking some time to prepare ourselves a tasty, nutritious and/or indulgent plate of food can be a true form of therapy and self care.

In my opinion good food does not need to be expensive, time consuming, or difficult to make. I try to take a balanced approach with my cooking, eating good, nutritious foods most of the time, so I feel only pleasure, sans guilt, when tucking into a wedge of cake, or freshly baked bread slathered in butter… and boy do I love to bake!

One of my biggest influences, and one of Britain’s most loved food writers Nigel Slater reminds us: ‘We are not here for long. So let’s at least make ourselves something good to eat.’ I couldn’t agree more.
